Don't let anyone stifle your voice. Don't listen to anyone who won't listen to you. Because, when it's all said and done, your voice is all you have.

I've got to keep reminding myself that this site is for entrepreneurs and small businesspeople who either want to start an online business, or give their existing business an online presence. It's especially for those who have little or no understanding about how to do that. OK, Chaney, keep yourself focused. (I have got to write a business plan!)

It's late Saturday night, and I've got to get to bed. Before I do, there are some thoughts I want to jot down. First, its a pretty good bet very few people are reading any of this yet. That's good, because I'm just getting started and, well, most of what I've written is really me thinking out loud.

Second, I've narrowed my focus and determined the niche market I want to address with my posts and in my business. . .people who have a mom-and-pop business who want to take that business online, and people who are wanting to start an online business. That's a niche where I feel totally comfortable, and capable of meeting needs.

The last thing (well, not the last thing, but the last thing tonight) I need to address is: how much is my time worth? I tend to undercut myself, so I really need the advice of someone else on this score. Hey, is anybody out there who can address this question? Any website that calculates this sort of thing? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
