Cool Tool: Flickr
The latest experiment in social software is a new photo management application called Flickr.
For bloggers Flickr can be especially useful in that it allows for uploading of photos to almost any blog platform. In addition, mobloggers can upload photos directly from the cameraphone.
What makes Flickr social software? When people look at your photos, not only can they leave comments on them, but they can add notes and tags. Flickr comes with full RSS and Atom support as well. Basic accounts are free.
This is one of the coolest apps I've seen in a while. So cool in fact I called my cell company to see about upgrading to a cameraphone. (I'm under contract right now though, so I'd have to pay full price. Grrr!!!! So, it ain't gonna happen until April when I'm out from under it. Moblogging will have to wait.)

A Couple of Cool Tools
Here's a couple of internet marketing tools for your consideration.
- Instant Press Release 1.0
John Jantsch has written a small piece of software that allows users to create attention getting, perfectly formatted press releases (his words) by simply filling in a few blanks and answering a few guided questions. John is giving the program away in hopes that every small business and non-profit can learn to write a powerful press release and better understand the use of PR in the marketing puzzle. (Again, his words) But, I like it! (My words) In lieu of payment, you may donate something to the Ronald McDonald House Childrens' Charity if you wish. - InstantVideoGenerator.com
Here's a tool that will add instant video to your website without expensive equipment or technical know-how.

Cool Tool: iStockPhoto
A picture does paint a thousand words, so it's nice to add images to blog posts to give them more eye appeal and help sell the message. But stock photos from places like Getty Images or Corbis can cost an arm and a leg. Even low-resolution photos can end up costing hundreds of dollars.
There is now an alternative: istockphoto.com, an online stock photo service that enables you to buy images for just $1.50 or less. And these aren't cheesy looking images either, but professional quality. Their catalog of over 115,000 images is surprisingly good, and includes low-resolution photographs for Web use as well as high-resolution images for print applications.
