One More Reagan Riff
I came across this tribute to Ronald Reagan listing several of his more notable quotes. My favorite is from his assassination attempt, when he was being wheeled into surgery: " I hope you're all Republicans."

For the Gipper. . .
I am saddened beyond words tonight. The Great Communicator, President Ronald Reagan, is dead. That man brought this country back from the dead following the Carter years. His vision, his positive spirit, his integrity and virtuem few can equal. I will remember him as long as I live.
And yet, I remember him for a far more personal reason. . .

Is It Me or Is It Google?
Is it just me, or is Google just trying to make it difficult to run an AdWords campaign? Rising CPC costs and new trademark guidelines are but two of the roadblocks I've run into lately.
Don't get me wrong, I really like AdWords. But, it's almost as if Google's editors take delight in finding ways to put a hold on campaigns. Guidelines are one thing, but don't be a curmudgeon about it!
That's why I'm excited about a teleconference coming up in June, sponsored by MarketingSherpa. It features none other than Andrew Goodman himself. The best part about it is the $129 ticket is FREE, so long as you buy any product (any product. . .there's one that's only $18) from the MarketingSherpa store.

Another 'Godinism'
Call him the Gandhi of Internet marketing, but this post by Seth Godin is a pearl of wisdom. He could start a religion. . .after all, he already has the right name for it - GODin!

I'm Back!!!!
Where does the time go? We all have the same, 24 hours a day. Over the past several weeks mine seems to have been spent on other agendas than updating this blog. I have commited the most heinous of blogging sins. . .not keeping my blog current. Is there grace enough in the blogosphere to forgive such a wanton sinners as I? Let's hope so.
But, I'm back and ready to blog. So, watch out world. . .several posts are coming your way!

I Saw "The Passion" Movie
I had a chance to see "The Passion of the Christ" over the weekend. I'm still assessing its impact on my life. If nothing else, I can say it brought the gruesome reality of Christ's sacrifice for sin into much clearer focus. I kept saying to myself, "It couldn't have been this bad," when, in actuality, it was probably even worse.
If you plan to see it, don't stop by the concession stand first. You won't do much eating or drinking during this film, I promise you.

This Stuff Works
Seth Godin's book Purple Cow says the way to advertise these days is to create an exceptional product or service that will sell itself. As a person who suffers with some arthritis pain, I've found a Purple Cow pain reliever - Jones Oil of Eucalyptus.

Gentlemen, 'RE'-Start Your Engines
No. I'm not a NASCAR fan. I have nothing against NASCAR, just not a fan. It seemed like a good way to intro this latest riff.
It looks as if I've let this blog die a slow and unnatural death well before its time. Truth be told, I've been rethinking the whole reason I'm doing this.

I Apologize
I really apologize for not posting lately. I've been extremely busy with my regular job, a part-time job as a music director at a local church, and getting this marketing gig up and running. I now have five clients and it's taking more time than I have, to be frank. I do plan to get back in the saddle with this very, very soon.

At Least the Game Was Good
This may have nothing to do with the purpose of this blog per se, but I just have to put in my two cents worth about the Super Bowl half-time debacle.
