A Conversation with Pheedo VP of Marketing

I asked Bill Flitter, VP of Marketing at Pheedo, to talk about their new RSS ad system, SimpleAds. Here's what he had to say...

"Advertisements in feeds represent found revenue for publishers. SimpleAds for Feeds will provide publishers with a turn-key solution to monitor and monetize RSS content, providing them with a measurable ROI and greater flexibility in delivering content to readers."

"Ads in feeds are a bit controversial. Consumers tell us the reason they moved to RSS is because of the convenience and speed it offers. They feel putting ads in feeds is annoying and deters from the very reason they consume content by RSS. We are working closely with and learning from consumers as we roll out our products. With RSS advertising, we have a clean slate to work with. It is our responsibility as marketers to deliver a product consumers will enjoy and embrace."

"The great thing about RSS is one-click unsubscribe. Because of this, publishers will need to monitor their feed activity very closely and
deliver a product that works for both them and their readers. SimpleAds for Feeds, monitors the feed to deliver the perfect content-to-ad ratio."

"At a time when search inventory is scarce and SPAM is on the increase, our solution makes it easy for advertisers to efficiently tap into thousands of RSS feeds across dozens of categories including technology, entertainment, political, gaming, family, automotive, news, sports, and more."
